Detailed Overview:

The pre-owned Hatsan Escort Magnum 12 bore semi-automatic shotgun embodies a perfect balance between affordability and performance. As a second-hand firearm, it offers an excellent opportunity to own a versatile and reliable shotgun at a more accessible price point. At the heart of this Hatsan Escort Magnum is its 12 bore chambering with a 3″ (76mm) magnum chamber. This versatile configuration allows for the use of a wide range of ammunition, from light target loads to heavy magnum shells, making this pre-owned shotgun equally suitable for clay shooting, hunting, and pest control applications.

One of the standout features of this pre-owned Hatsan Escort Magnum is its gas-operated system. This technology offers several advantages over traditional inertia-driven semi-automatics. The gas system helps to reduce felt recoil by spreading the recoil impulse over a longer period, making the shotgun more comfortable to shoot, especially during extended sessions or with heavier loads. Additionally, the gas system tends to be more reliable with a wider range of ammunition types, from light target loads to heavy magnums.

The Hatsan Escort Magnum incorporates a Fast Loading System with a Smart Valve Piston, which is designed to enhance the shotgun’s reliability and cycling speed. This system helps to ensure smooth operation across a wide range of load types, from light 28-gram shells up to heavy 3″ magnum loads. The barrel of this pre-owned Hatsan Escort Magnum is crafted from nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel, known for its durability and corrosion resistance. The barrel features a black hard chrome finish on the exterior for added protection against the elements, while the interior is finished with white hard chrome. This chrome lining helps to protect the barrel from the corrosive effects of shotgun loads and makes cleaning and maintenance easier.

This pre-owned shotgun comes equipped with a multi-choke system, allowing shooters to adapt their shot patterns to different shooting scenarios. Whether you’re shooting close-range clays, long-range waterfowl, or anything in between, the ability to change chokes provides valuable versatility. The receiver of the Hatsan Escort Magnum is crafted from aircraft-grade alloy, providing a good balance between strength and weight. The receiver features an 11mm groove for mounting optics, offering additional versatility for those who prefer a scope or red dot sight for certain applications.

Weighing in at approximately 3.1 kg (6.8 lbs), this Hatsan Escort Magnum strikes a good balance between maneuverability and stability. It’s light enough for comfortable field carry yet provides enough heft to manage recoil and promote smooth swing characteristics. The synthetic stock and fore-end feature checkering for improved grip in various weather conditions. The stock is fitted with a rubber butt pad for recoil absorption, enhancing shooter comfort during extended use or when firing heavier loads.

The 71 cm (28-inch) barrel length is a versatile choice, suitable for both field and clay shooting applications. The ventilated rib atop the barrel helps dissipate heat and reduce mirage, while the metal bead sight provides a simple and effective sighting system for instinctive shooting. The magazine capacity of 4+1 rounds (when using 2¾” shells) provides ample firepower for most hunting and clay shooting scenarios. For those jurisdictions that require reduced capacity for hunting, the Hatsan Escort Magnum can be easily modified to comply with local regulations.

As a pre-owned item, this Hatsan Escort Magnum offers excellent value. Its condition suggests careful use by its previous owner, promising many more years of reliable service. The combination of versatile features, reliable gas operation, and durable construction makes this Escort Magnum a capable shotgun for a wide range of shooting applications.

In conclusion, this pre-owned Hatsan Escort Magnum 12 bore semi-automatic shotgun represents an excellent opportunity for both experienced shooters and those looking to upgrade from a pump-action or break-action shotgun. Its combination of versatility, reliability, and value makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from clay shooting to hunting and pest control. As with any pre-owned firearm, potential buyers are encouraged to take advantage of our range testing opportunity to experience firsthand the performance and fit of this Hatsan Escort Magnum.
