The Walther CP88 Competition CO2 air pistol is a premium, competition-grade version of the classic CP88. Featuring a longer 6-inch barrel for enhanced accuracy and velocity, this German-made pistol offers exceptional performance for both competitive shooters and enthusiasts seeking a high-quality target pistol.

Style:

The CP88 Competition boasts a sleek, professional appearance with its extended 6-inch barrel and all-metal construction. Available in both black and nickel finishes, it closely mimics the look and feel of its firearm counterpart while offering enhanced performance. The longer barrel gives it a distinctive and authoritative profile.

Design:

Umarex has optimized the CP88 Competition for precision shooting. The firing mechanism is housed in the two-part slide, ensuring accurate pellet feeding into the rifled barrel. The extended 6-inch barrel increases the pellet’s travel distance from 90mm to 143mm, enhancing both accuracy and velocity. The CO2 capsule is cleverly concealed within the grip, maintaining the pistol’s authentic appearance.

Construction and Quality:

The Walther CP88 Competition showcases exceptional German engineering with its full-metal construction. Weighing 1100g, it provides a realistic heft and feel. The high-quality materials and precise manufacturing ensure durability and consistent performance, making it a standout choice for serious air pistol enthusiasts.

Performance:

With a velocity of up to 459 fps (140 m/s), the CP88 Competition delivers impressive performance for a CO2 pistol. The extended 6-inch barrel contributes to increased accuracy and velocity compared to the standard CP88. The 8-shot rotary magazine allows for quick follow-up shots, while the rifled barrel ensures excellent accuracy. The adjustable rear sight enables fine-tuning for precision shooting.

Versatility:

While optimized for competitive and precision shooting, the CP88 Competition remains versatile enough for various applications. Its realistic weight and handling make it an excellent training tool for firearm owners, while its accuracy and performance satisfy the needs of serious target shooters. The single/double action trigger provides flexibility in shooting styles.

Maintenance and Longevity:

Regular cleaning and lubrication of the CP88 Competition’s moving parts will ensure optimal performance and longevity. The all-metal construction suggests excellent durability, but proper care is essential to maintain its appearance and functionality. Always follow the manufacturer’s maintenance guidelines for best results.

Miscellaneous or Additional Information:

The CP88 Competition is compatible with holster types A, D, and E. Approximately 60 full-power shots can be achieved per CO2 cartridge. As the first pellet-shooting CO2 pistol in the Umarex range, the CP88 series has a significant historical importance in the air gun industry.
