Description

Full Description:

The 3-inch (76mm) chambers allow for the use of magnum loads, providing flexibility in ammunition choice.
One of the standout features of this pre-owned Browning 525 is its back-bored barrels. This technology, pioneered by Browning, increases the internal bore diameter to its ideal maximum specification.
The result is reduced friction between the shot cup and the barrel, allowing for higher velocities and improved effectiveness on target. Additionally, back-boring contributes to reduced felt recoil, enhancing shooter comfort during extended sessions.
The Invector Plus choke system is another key feature of this Browning 525. These longer, flush-fit chokes are optimized to work with the back-bored barrels, providing excellent pattern control and adaptability to different shooting scenarios.
The ability to quickly change chokes allows shooters to adapt to varying target distances and types, whether in the field or on the clay range. The action frame of the Browning 525 is crafted from a single block of forged steel, ensuring durability and longevity.
This robust construction, combined with the wide, flat bolt, provides locking surfaces that are significantly larger than many other systems, contributing to the gun’s reliability and long service life.
The stock of this pre-owned Browning 525 is crafted from grade 2 walnut with an oil finish, providing both aesthetic appeal and durability.
The pistol grip and fore-end feature checkering for improved grip in various weather conditions. The stock is fitted with an Inflex II rubber recoil pad, which not only absorbs recoil effectively but also promotes a downward deviation of recoil forces, pulling the buttstock slightly away from the shooter’s face for added comfort.
The 6 mm wide ventilated rib atop the barrels features anti-glare checkering, leading the shooter’s eye naturally to the bead sight.
This design promotes quick target acquisition and consistent sight picture, which are crucial for both game and clay shooting scenarios. Weighing in at approximately 3.4 kg (7.5 lbs), this Browning 525 strikes an excellent balance between stability and maneuverability.
It’s light enough for comfortable field carry yet provides enough heft to manage recoil and promote smooth swing characteristics. The single selective trigger mechanism allows for easy barrel selection, while the manual safety doubles as a barrel selector, providing additional versatility and control.
The trigger pull is crisp and consistent, contributing to the overall precision of the shotgun. As a pre-owned item, this Browning 525 offers excellent value. Its condition suggests careful use by its previous owner, promising many more years of reliable service. The B25-inspired design, updated with modern features like back-boring and the Invector Plus choke system, makes this 525 a versatile and capable shotgun for a wide range of shooting applications. In conclusion, this pre-owned Browning 525 12 bore over/under shotgun represents an excellent opportunity for both experienced shooters and those looking to upgrade their current firearm. Its combination of classic design, modern performance features, and versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from game shooting to clay target sports.
