Description

Detailed Overview:

Design and Build Quality:
The Air Arms S200 stands out for its remarkably lightweight and compact design, weighing just 2.6 kg and measuring 920 mm in overall length. This makes it an ideal choice for juniors, smaller-framed shooters, or those who prefer a more manageable rifle for extended shooting sessions. The stock features a low, tapered fore-end and a semi-target configuration, creating a distinctive profile that sets it apart from other PCP rifles in its class. Manufactured as a joint venture between Air Arms and CZ in the Czech Republic, the S200 benefits from CZ’s renowned expertise in barrel manufacturing. The result is a rifle that delivers exceptional accuracy and consistency, living up to Air Arms’ reputation for quality and performance.

Performance and Mechanism:
At the heart of the S200 is a reliable pre-charged pneumatic system that offers consistent power delivery shot after shot. The removable air cylinder is a standout feature, allowing for easy maintenance and safety testing without the need to send the entire rifle to a test center. With a recommended fill pressure of 190 bar, this pre-owned S200 in .177 caliber can deliver an impressive shot count of up to 85 shots per fill, far exceeding the manufacturer’s claim of 55 shots. The smooth bolt-action mechanism ensures reliable pellet loading and cocking, contributing to the rifle’s overall accuracy and ease of use. The included 10-round magazine conversion enhances the S200’s versatility, allowing for quick follow-up shots during target practice or hunting scenarios.

Accuracy and Sighting:
The S200’s accuracy is a testament to its quality construction and the precision of its CZ-manufactured barrel. Capable of producing half-inch groups at 35 yards, this rifle is well-suited for serious target shooting and small game hunting within appropriate ranges. The dovetail rail allows for easy mounting of various optics, enabling shooters to customize their setup for different applications.

Trigger and Ergonomics:
The S200 features an adjustable two-stage trigger that can be fine-tuned to the shooter’s preference. While the plastic trigger blade may feel less premium than metal alternatives, it doesn’t detract from the overall performance of the trigger mechanism. The ergonomic sporter-style stock, combined with the rifle’s lightweight nature, ensures comfortable handling and reduced fatigue during extended shooting sessions.

Additional Features and Extras:
This pre-owned S200 comes with valuable extras that enhance its functionality. The Air Arms moderator significantly reduces muzzle report, making it ideal for backyard shooting or situations where noise reduction is crucial.

Maintenance and Longevity:
The S200’s simple design and quality construction contribute to its ease of maintenance and long-term reliability. The removable air cylinder is a particular advantage, simplifying the process of periodic safety testing. Regular cleaning and proper storage will ensure this pre-owned rifle continues to perform at its best for years to come.

Conclusion:
The pre-owned Air Arms S200 PCP air rifle in .177 caliber offers an excellent entry point into the world of precision air rifles. Its lightweight design, consistent performance, and impressive accuracy make it suitable for a wide range of shooters, from juniors to experienced marksmen looking for a compact option. With the included extras and its excellent condition, this particular S200 represents outstanding value for those seeking a versatile and reliable PCP air rifle. Whether for target shooting, plinking, or as a training tool, the S200 delivers performance that belies its compact size and pre-owned status.
